Hi All they is a lot of posts on here saying many things about hosting and it makes it hard when your clients want you to give them the best internet marketing. My job is to help clients with Hosting and i look for two things. other websites that are on the same server and make sure they is not hundreds of websites listed on a server. I am checking all these posts now and will hopefully find something that i can use to help my clients.

Just a quick update on my Hosting ‘experience’. When I said in an earlier comment on this thread that GVO was in my opinion the best but not the cheapest…well I was very wrong.

Not only are they ‘not the cheapest’ but they are not the best either. While they are constantly saying how much work and money they are putting into their new ‘State-Of-The-Art’ system,something is always causing them problems. Their problems results in peoples businesses being closed.

Their customer service is the best I’ve seen but that will not bring the website visitors back to my site to become my customers. So it was time to pull the trigger and move on.

So far, the Hostgator and Hostmonster accounts I have are problem free and I’m happy to recommend them.

I’m looking forward to hearing more about your hosting experiences.

Hi,
I have just across your blog and i agree there’s a problem with cheap web hosting and good quality customer service. I’ve heard of a company called SquirrelHost website http://www.squirrelhost.co.uk. they seem to be customer centered and i think well worth a try. They are actually focused on online CV’s but have many more packages to cater for anybody’s needs and i hear that they may be willing to do discounts on any of the top packages.
They offer a free account as well but that it for personal use, cheapest package is £12 a year, the company may also cover the DNS registering cost, usual cost of £7, so they only get £5 off you.

I’m currently using Surpass. It’s been a couple months since you switched, so can you give us an update on how it’s been the past few? I too have experienced random down-time with Surpass, and while I like the prices, I still wish I could find a host that doesn’t go down.
