2 Quick Downloads Questions

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of quick questions about downloads for customers.

First:

I'm using Amazon S3 to host my PDF download files and it works great. I wanted to do a quick check, however, just to make sure that I have the download limits set correctly with S3. Basically I want the customer to be able to download the item 5 times and the download should expire in 30 days.

I have the following set...will this work?

Duration of Download Link: 720 Hours
Download Limit Count: 5
AWS S3 Presigned URL Expiry: 300 Seconds

Second:

What is the quickest way to reset a customer's download count should the max number of downloads be met? Can this be done for an entire order?

1. Yes

2 . The quickest way is to use the Admin Functions and email them a new set of links.

Thanks for the uber fast response :)

Our customers typically order 5 - 20 products. Do I have to generate a link for each of those products 1 by 1 or can I enter multiple item numbers at once?

Are the download limitations applied to these newly generated links?

You can only generate encrypted links for one product at a time. Yes, download limitations are applied to any encrypted link generated by eStore.
