I am sure it is possible to add one through the code.(havent tried yet) but then updating would most likely erase it. So is there an option to add a page to affiliate area that can only be accessed by affiliates?

The affiliate plugin does not support the addition of any new page.

    Hello!
I'm glad I was able to find this answer, although it is not what I was hoping to hear. :(
I would love to be able to add a tab/page for my Affiliates titled "Getting Started" or "Help" or "Resources" -- because some people are not familiar with the basic steps they should take to be a successful affiliate. I am sure I can devise a work-around to be able to support my affiliates in the meantime -- but if this functionality is ever added to the plugin please let me know!
    Thank you,
    Janelle

(I had originally searched for "How to Add a Tab to the Affiliate View Area" but couldn't find anything. I thought that adding my reply here may help other people find this answer sooner, if they are using the same keywords I did.)

An easier workaround would be the following:

    1. Create a normal WordPress page called "Affiliate Resources".
    2. Place all your educational material in this page (you can even make this an index page which links to other resources)
    3. Now, edit the "Index Page Message" field from the settings menu of the affiliate plugin and place a link to the page you created in step 1. Any of your affiliates who need more help can follow that link.

    Thank you,
That is a pretty good idea. My only concern is that the Index Page Message only shows up if the Affiliate is not logged in. I'd like to be able to offer resources to Affiliates who are currently logged in and may be confused or want some hand-holding. I'm considering doing what you said above, and in addition putting the link (to the WordPress page "Affiliate Resources") on the Contact Form page -- so that if they are about to message me with a question, perhaps they will check the Resources page first.
Thanks again for your quick response. :)
