Can I limit number of items for digital content?

Inside the product page is this option:

Display Quantity Field (checkbox)
"When checked, it will display a text box next to the Add to Cart button so the customers can enter a quantity amount for the item."

I am selling rentals of training videos. The links to the streaming page expire after 24 hours which is exactly what I want to happen.

Since this is a "pay per view" option it doesn't make sense to display a quantity field allowing someone to purchase more than one. Is it possible to turn off the quantity field for digital content?

If some one did buy more than one would they get two different links (perhaps two people in the same office wanted to individually watch it)?

If you don't want to show the quantity field then simply uncheck that field and it won't show that (it is unchecked by default). If you are referring to the quantity field in the shopping cart then you can uncheck the "Do Not Show Quantity in Shopping Cart" field in the settings to turn off the quantity field display in the shopping cart globally.

Thanks for the reply. So it isn't possible to turn off the quantity in the shopping cart for specific items? Perhaps that could be a future feature.

You can't do that because it creates a mix issue. What happens when someone adds one digital item and one physical item in the cart?
