Hello, I would like to know how to place a related product page for the purposes of upsell during checkout. For instance when someone buys a lipstick and proceeds to checkout, I would like to be able to offer them related products such as mascara or a concealer etc. Basically items that relate to their initial purchase. Then they can decide to add those products to their cart or just proceed to checkout.
What do you think?

eStore doesn't have a related page option. You just use a normal related posts plugin of WordPress. When you place products in various pages the page becomes your product page so the related page based on tags will server as the related products pages.

On a similar note, how about an "Also Purchased" shortcode (like say Amazon.com) where estore automatically inserts 2-3 items that other people have purchased with the first item?
You can get a similar effect by using a "Show random products from a the same category as the product in question" shortcode. The extra eStore shortcodes plugin has a shortcode that will let you show 2 or 3 random products from a particular category you specify.

This is nearly what I'm looking for - "Related products" are definitely a feature that helps to upsell additional products.
The shortcode to display additional random products is useful, however would it be possible to have a "Other Customers Also Purchased" shortcode?
Having played with WP eStore and eMember, I know that purchase details are already stored in the database of what people have bought. These can be displayed for specific user profiles. (Very nice!).
Taking the idea one step further, would it be possible to look at this purchase information and then generate related products based on what people have also "purchased together"?
I realise there may be some issues to consider - like querying potentially thousands of users could cause a system meltdown (if it's done *every* time a page is viewed). What about the information only generated once in a while, as requested by the Admin?
Anyway, something like this would be great. Again, I'd be happy to purchase an "Add-On" plugin to WP eStore (like the Shortcodes one), if it could do this.

We have added a "Popular Products" shortcode in eStore which should come in handy for you (this one doesn't require lots of queries on every page load). If you show the popular products from a particular category it will give you a similar effect as the popular products are the ones that got purchased a lot.
