Hi,
I’m at a loss – not sure if I have missed something, and not sure if I have the search criteria set correctly to see if it has already been answered.
Have gone through to setup the Thank You Page to display the transaction results after paying with PayPal. Have setup the PDT (which is in the Sandbox for PayPal) and have used [wp_eStore_display_transaction_result] on the Thank You page. I don’t have any digital downloads, just wanting to display the results of the purchase on the website.
In the eStore post payment debug log, the following is returned:-
[06/04/2016 5:59 AM] – SUCCESS :eStore PayPal PDT received. Processing the request using CURL method…
[06/04/2016 5:59 AM] – FAILURE :HTTP ERROR… could not establish a connection to PayPal for verification!
[06/04/2016 5:59 AM] – SUCCESS :Processing PayPal PDT…
[06/04/2016 5:59 AM] – FAILURE :The fund did not clear. Product will be delivered via email when the fund clears! Payment Status:
On the Thank You Page, I get the following:-
HTTP ERROR… could not establish a connection to PayPal for verification!Thank You for your purchase. Product(s) will be delivered when the payment is cleared.
Is there something I’ve done wrong?
Hosting with HostGator.

Ven

Do you have the same HTTP error, when processing a live (instead of a Sandbox) transaction?
June 5, 2016 at 3:53 am #73348adminKeymasterPayPal sandbox and the Live accounts do no share any settings so you gotta do all your settings correctly for both the accounts.
In your case your sandbox account is not setup correctly. Which is why the payments are not clearing instantly after a transaction. This is the reason why you are seeing some errors for sandbox transaction.
It is probably easier for you to just do live transactions by setting a product price to $1 or something like that.

Cheers,
Ven
