    Hello ...

This may be a silly question, but I can't seem to find the answer elsewhere in your forum. Sorry if it's there already.

I am an eStore customer (i.e., I use it on my site to sell digital downloads). I would like to be able to offer restricted access to a tech support forum to only those who have purchased a product (i.e., a customer of the eStore). This way I am sure to be providing tech support only to those who have purchased a product, as opposed to those who may have downloaded a pirated version.

Is there a way to provide restricted access based solely on the eStore customer list? Or will I need to get your eMember product?

If I get eMember product, do people need to sign-up to be a member separately, or will the fact that they purchased a digital download automatically make them a member, and then get access to member-only content, such as the tech support forum?

Thanks in advance for your help ...

The easiest would be to use eStore + eMember. You can hook each of your eStore product to a eMember's member level so everybody who purchase an eStore product can become a member and see the protected page where you have you forum embedded. This document has details on this:

You can also develop a custom module that checks the eStore's customer database at registration time of whatever forum module you are using. A good example of this is the forum registration of our forum. When you try to register it check eStore's customer database.

Any tips on building this custom module to check the eStore customer database? This seems like the simple option, but I also think purchasing eMember would give me some additional features that I can already think of how to implement. Before going down that road though, I would love to have some tips/hints on checking the eStore customer database for when users register on my site.

Thank you very much for any help you could provide on this ...

This will need to be handled via custom coding so please contact us using the contact form if you want to discuss a custom solution.

I cannot seem to get the NextGen Gallery to work. I added the "gallery-wp-eStore.php" to the view folder of mextgen, but it still is not showing. Please help. I then put the code in the page and it doesnt work.
