I have two simple products which are digital downloads. I would like to configure them so that PayPal does not ask for a shipping address as it's not needed. I have the "Use PayPal Profile Based Shipping" box unchecked. What else do I need to do to achieve this?
How to configure so PayPal doesn't ask for shipping address for digital download

Hi, I had a look through Paypal's settings and their site and I can not find any option that allows you to do this. The best thing would be to ask Paypal if there is away to turn this feature off. The eStore does not tell Paypal to collect this information.
Cheers,

Does anyone have an update to this thread? I also sell digital goods and some of my customers have requested that they not be required to enter their address. {BTW I just talked to Paypal support and they don't seem to have a clue]
I realize this is a Paypal issue, not an eStore issue, but of anyone has come across an answer that would be great.
Again, great product, great support (eStore, that is).

If you do not use PayPal profile based shipping and the checkout doesn't have any shipping cost involved then eStore tells PayPal to not force a shipping address collection.

I'm not using the PayPal profile based shipping (box not checked) and the checkout doesn't have any shipping cost involved, but the emails from Paypal still contain the full shipping address. BTW I'm using v 5.9.6

PayPal always includes the address if the customer provides it or he paid via his PayPal account (PayPal knows the address from his account data in that case). This does not mean that the customer were forced to give the address at checkout time.
