I tried to make a post with thumbnail, but the thumbnail does not show up.
I did:
1) set the thumbnail name as "thumbnail"
2) set the value as the image url
http://darrenstips.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/2362FF00078E00012D1900FF000000_81.png
no thumbnail shows up. I tried with another image in jpeg format. It also din't work.
Did I missed something?
by the way, the website url is http://www.darrenstips.com/
Please try entering the following in the "thumbnail" custom field rather than the full image URL:
/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/2362FF00078E00012D1900FF000000_81.pngYour server seems to be having some issue parsing the full URL so the image processing script (thumbnail creating) is failing.
Thanks a lot, it works for my own picture.
However, when i try with pictures hosted in other's server, I cannot get the thumbnail show up.
1)I test with this image (full url):

2) then I try this too (partial url) :
/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Cloud-computing-Standards-and-Guidelines.png
The thumbnail does not show up in both ways.
Did i miss anything?
The thumbnail cropping script requires the image to be hosted on your site otherwise the script can't modify the image file. This is why it doesn't work with images hosted outside your site.
