I've ordered the WP Affiliate, and plan to order WP eStore and WP eMembers with a plan to integrate it all for a blog-based membership program.

I want to verify that there is a way in which the process we need to have in place will work with the above listed plugins.

The process will be:
Affiliates will send prospects to the website that will then register for the Membership program - prospective members will NOT pay at this time. There will be an approval process and once approved the newly approved member will return to the site to make payment for the subscription (membership fee). At that time the referring affiliate will begin earning a monthly commission for the duration of that members membership with our program.

My questions:
Can we track the newly approved members returning to the site (after approval) to make payment such that affiliates will then receive credit/commissions for their referral?

Can we make changes to the registration process to require the specific information that we need for our program?

Can we add a policy page to the start of the registration process that must be agreed to prior to registering?

Can we track each affiliates commissions such that they will receive payment for the duration of a members active membership?

@gantoine, The simple answer is yes, a visitor is tracked by the affiliate software whenever he/she lands on your site following an affiliate link. The plugin will know if the visitor was referred by someone in the first place even if he/she returns to your site after a few days (this time is adjustable) to make payment.

The pre-approval part however is not built into the plugin so this is something you will have to manage. One way to do this without modifying the plugins would be to keep the pre-approval part separate. so you send your prospective clients to a landing page where you have a registration form (any contact form plugin will do) that they fill in for approval. once they are approved you tell them where to go to pay for membership.

1. The visitor lands on your landing page (they may have followed an affiliate link in which case they are tracked)
2. The visitor fills in an approval form (once they hit submit you get an email with the details)
3. If approved, you reveal the link where the visitor can go and make a payment for the membership (when they pay, the plugin knows if the visitor was referred by an affiliate in which case it will be tracked for commission purpose after sale)

My company purchased eStore,eMembers, and Affliate programs wanting them to work together to use on a client's site.

The client wants to be able to have an affliate program where the premium member gets an “affiliate code” that they can distribute to others. If anyone enters this code when ordering a BTI product (including their own “Insider” membership, the person whose code it is earns 10% of the purchase price of anything bought with that code (i.e. they will get $1 per month “commission” on a regular monthly Insider subscription from somebody they recruit).

Anybody who orders product using a Premium Member Affiliate code gets 10% off on their purchase price (this is to provide people incentive to use somebody’s code if they have it). Now, the problem gets to be when a person who signed up “under” somebody else’s code decides to become a Premium member themselves (thereby getting their own 20% discount, which added to the 10% of their “sponsor” would add up to 30%, which is higher than I would like). If we can go a second level deep, I would say we fix this by making the second tier pay at 5%. Also, when a person goes to “Premium” status, their “sponsor’s” percentage drops from 10% to 5%. The sponsor can make up the 5% on any purchases made by person C in the example below.

I have no idea how to integrate eMember, Affliate, and eStore to do this. Please advise. I have no idea on where to start with the Affliate program. Can the member of the site log in to the affliate program with their existing member login or do they hae to register separately? I am confused on what I need to do to integrate all this seamlessly.

@mcrooks13, I am a little confused with the setup you are trying to achieve. There is nothing wrong with the setup you are trying to have but I would like to deal with the person who actually purchased my product because of the following two reasons:

1) I need to verify the purchase first (I get a lot of fake claims who illegally managed to get a copy of the product)

2) The person who originally bought the product had to read the product description and understand what it does before he purchased it.

I hope you don't take it the wrong way.

In the product description for WP eMember, it mentions that it can be integrated with WP Affliate program. Is it possible to have someone sign up to be a premium member on the site before they have access to the Affliate program and then allow them to sign in to the Affliate program with the same user name and password already set up in the site using WP eMember? If not, how do I allow for people who are already members to become affiliates and track they commisions easily without having to keep track of a bunch of different user names and passwords for the same person?

By integration I meant the very basic scenerio:

a) Your affiliates send visitors to your site.
b) Visitor becomes a premium member
c) A commission is awarded to the referring affiliate.

In short you can achieve what you are after too. There is a function that can be used to create an affiliate account. So when a member register you just have to pass in the details to this function to create an affiliate account with the same details. At the moment this work is done by manual tweak but I am in the process of making it so you can enable this option from the settings menu of the plugin.

To me the members/affiliates integration is great. It seems you've built what the previous posts were asking for, right into the plugins. It would be nice if there was a setting that allowed only certain levels of members to be registered as affiliates. I'd rather not have all member's get an affiliate account, especially since I'm offering a 1-week limited trial.

My question is different, but related, so I'll just post in this thread. I can't figure out integration between eMember and eStore. Unlike the eMember/Affiliate options, I find nothing that ties together the registration process for eMember, and the purchase process for eStore.

I would like to have a single "Buy Now" button (there's only one product for now) that allows them to purchase a 1-time, 6-month eMembership. How is the best way to go about this? If I just have them purchase a product, then how do I link that customer/purchase to an eMember account? Do I hide the registration page as if it were a pay-per-view item? If so, can I have 2 different registration pages, 1 for the free-trial members and 1 (hidden) for paying customers?

Unless I missed something that makes this process simpler than what I described above (which makes them input their information twice, once to purchase through eStore & once to become an eMember), you might consider further integration of the 2 plugins in the future. Such that the user can input their personal and purchase information all in at once, & it sends that info to Paypal to pay for the subscription, & also to eMember--setting up their new account which will expire at a certain time unless renewed, or if subscription payments stop.
