The first product I'm trying to configure consists of four videos
and one ebook. Everything is already on my server, all the files
are things I've been selling for years.

So first I went to "Digital Content Details (Click to Expand)", and
then "Digital Product URL" I clicked "Upload File", and to my
consternation it says, "Maximum upload file size: 8MB"

I thought to myself, "Something is wrong here, could there
actually be an imposed 8MB limit in eStore?"

So then I clicked on the "From URL" tab, and tried entering
a URL that links to the above-mentioned ebook, and yet there's
no button I can push to make anything happen from there.
Meaning, there's just two fields ("URL" and "TITLE"), but no
ENTER or whatever button to make something happen.

Grrr. :)

So, how do I offer my customer one product that contains
multiple media files that are -ahem- more than 8 megs?

I asked "how" you are uploading files, because eStore does not have a "file upload" button that can be clicked.

In wordpress, go to WP eStore --> add/edit products --> Digital Content Details (Click to Expand) --> click UPLOAD FILE.

Next to that button you can also click "More Info":

Uploading a file and using it as the digital content of this product is a 3 step process:

Click the above upload button
Choose the file to upload which will upload that file to your media library
Finally, click the Insert into Post button, this will populate the uploaded file's URL in the following field.

The URL of the digital product that you are selling (this content will be given to your customer via an encrypted link), example: http://www.example.com/downloads/ebook/superman.zip

mentioned are going to be doable.

What version of eStore are you using? Unfortunately, I am not able to confirm what you are describing, as I am traveling and only have an iPad to access the Internet.

My suggestion is to use a separate program, like FTP, to upload your files to the location in which you store your download files. Be sure that you are using the binary transfer mode.

Anyway, I can upload the files to FTP, but then how do I 'connect'
the files to the product in eStore?

Grrr. I don't know how you guys do this all day. You must have
the patience of a saint. This stuff drives me crazy, man. :)

After you upload the file, using FTP; simply type the file's locationn iformation into the Digital Product URL field.

Your version is current.

eStore doesn't have any limitation on the filesize but WordPress has a limitation on the filesize that you can upload via WordPress. If your filesize is bigger than the limitation of WordPress then just do what wzp suggested. Use a FTP program to upload the file to your server.
