I verified this for a member, he could not login and request a new password to login. I went to the admin panel and changed his password and tried it. Two problems:
    1. In the login ID field there is a blank before the name, or so it appears and I can delete it. Does it affect login?
    2. I tried to change his password after logging in as him. The password change does not hold. I tried it on my spare account, the result is the same, a user does not seem to be able to change the password. There is no error message but the new password does not register.

Thanks Ivy. I did indeed follow your instructions when I installed the latest version. However, I will try deactivate-activate again.

What is the word on the extra character in the user ID field? I take it to be a "space" character since there is not visible manifestation. I know it seems to be there because I can either delete it with backspace or move one character to right with the arrow. Should it be there? Does it have any impact on successful login?

OK, I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, I still cannot change my password. I also tested the presence of that extra character in the ID field, that did not seem to affect the login. I could login with or without that character there. It would be cleaner if that was not there.

Trying a new theme to test if it is the problem is a bit too ominous. It would blow out all my widgets off kilter. Is there no other way that you can test this problem programmatically? One thing that will probably be a great help is a warning message when the password is not changed in the user profile. At the same time, can the application check whether the information was successfully written to the DB and take measures to make sure it does?

I will test a couple of other things and report. In the mean time, could the team look at more robust solutions.

    Thanks

Hi, We will need to take a closer look at what is happening. I will send you a site access request via your forum email address. Please let me know if you do not receive this email.

Is there a fix for this? I am having the same problem. I have deactivated, deleted, installed and activated, but still the same. As admin I cannot change existing affiliates passwords. I noticed this trying to login to 2 accounts I know the password of. I could not log in to either. I changed the password in the plugin Manage Affiliates. No errors. But the new password doesn't work. I reset the password via the affiliate link losttomeaningful.com/affiliates/ and received that in my email. This password works, I could login. But if I go again as admin and change the password, I am unable to login. New affiliates can login but the same occurs if I as admin change the password. Then that user is locked out.
I am concerned that the existing affiliates cannot access their accounts as I am unable to access my 2 test accounts.

    Hi,
This thread is for eMember issues but you seem to be referring to Affiliate plugin. Do you mean eMember or Affiliate?

Also which version of the plugin are you using?
Which version of WP are you using?

Can you please do the following tests to see if another plugin or your theme may be causing the issue:
