I have created a test member to check the flow of membership access.
I noticed that when I want to upgrade my test member to a different membership level the changes are not saved. Therefore i have to create a new fake test member, but I am running out of emails...
the problem is that now I have to manually upgrade a few of my members and the changes are not saved. What do I do wrong ?

That doesn't sound right to me. So you are saying if you edit a member and change his "Membership Level" manually then save it, the save doesn't stay?
Do you have "Auto Upgrade" on for the membership level that this member is in?
Yes I do have autoupgrade on for that specific membership.
After posting my message yesterday, I did more tests.
As I said. The change is validated if I retype the password. then, the member has access to the right membership, but he cannot access to the other membership level he was initially registered in.
My question ends like this :
If a member is registered for a membership level with auto upgrade,can that member also register to different membership level without loosing his former privilege ?
Can he register with the same email address and user name ?
You answer will surely save me some worries.

Every member can belong to only one membership level at a time. The membership level of the member determines what content that particular member have access to.
The auto upgrade feature upgrades the membership level of one member to another level automatically after a given period. After the auto upgrade is complete the member will only be able to access the content that is only accessible by this newly assigned membership level. Does that make sense?
