in the "Recurring Billing" section of "Add/Edit Products" is it possible to set a greater number of times (now is 2) of attempts after a payment failure?
I use PayPal as payment processor.

PayPal only has the following option for the reattempt on failure feature (PayPal doesn't allow you to configure how many times it will be reattempted):
If the payment fails, the payment will be reattempted two more times. After the third failure, the subscription will be cancelled.
