    Hi,

I was just wondering how I stop the paypal page appearing in german. I am just testing out the plugin for my wife's site http://www.simplymemzelle.com/test1

I would really like to use this plugin, but it is a big problem since I am not targeting germany,

    Thanks

When the eStore sends a customer to Paypal, Paypal will show the version of Paypal that is specified in the buyers profile. If there is no setting then it should show the default Paypal site (US).

With that said I did a test purchase and got this error "Dieser Empfänger ist zurzeit nicht in der Lage, Geld zu empfangen." Unfortunately I do not know German can you please translate this for me so I can troubleshoot this a little more?

    Cheers,
    Ivy

    Hi Ivy,

It basically means that the merchant is not able to receive money. I was wondering if it ha anything to do with the fact I have not put my Paypal information in there yet, what do you think?

I don't want to go building out the rest of the site if this won't work.

    Thanks

If you have not told the plugin where to send the money it will not go to Paypal and the plugin will not work. You need to specify your Paypal email address in the settings of the plugin. Please do this and let me know how it goes.

I have the same problem. I am in Germany but my customers are English-speaking. I want the PayPal page to come up in English, but it's coming up in German. The link inside the cartscript is this:
    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr

    but the result is:
    https://www.paypal.com/de/cgi-bin/webscr

This redirect happens regardless of which language the user has specified in the buyer's profile.

Does anyone know the fix for this?

    Thanks!

Hi Alan, PayPal usually takes the customer to the language they have specified in there settings. When I go to your page and check out, I get the US PayPal site (I have specified this as I am in Australia). If the customer is not a PayPal member then it should give them the US PayPal by default. Try clearing your Cookies and see if it redirect you to the proper page.

Let me know how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Ivy

Thanks, Ivy. The status is that the problem has mysteriously fixed itself. I get the US PayPal site, which is what i want. A week ago this was not the case. Maybe someone at Wordpress or PayPal fixed it without telling me, because i wrote to them also. Anyway, i'm happy.
