Tried to search for this on the forum, but is there such a thing as Product Tags in estore? So that a customer could search according to them?

Nope, eStore do not have tags. When people use it as a full blown store they will make an individual post or page for each product. The tags on those posts or pages will work nicely as product tags. I try to not to add functionality that WordPress already has (it helps keep the plugin lightweight).

Hmmm, that makes sense. So I guess to get this functionality with existing wordpress features, I would have to create special tags for all of the product pages in my store and (by category or brand or something) and then use those tags to allow customers to search for them that way.
The only problem I see here is that it would be hard to distinguish between things like blog posts or regular non-product pages and those for products.
I was just sort of wondering if, on a particular product page, it would be possible to create something like "See other products like this" where I could have a display of similar products -- I'm not sure entirely how I would build this and it's definitely not a major priority for me, but it seemed worth exploring. Something like a more basic version of the "if you like this, then you may also like..." that's so common on ecommerce sites these days....

I wan to add a functionality where you can show a similar products section. I haven't thought about the full details on how I am going to do this but it might involve adding product tags.

Okay, sounds good. Again, not a major priority for me but probably something worth figuring out for the long haul. If I can be any help don't hesitate to let me know -- i.e., feedback, etc...

Hi Admin...I wanted to raise my hand in support of "product tags" as an enhancement. On my photography site I am integrating eStore to, amongst other things, sell shots of kids playing team sports. It would be nice for a parent to easily search 700-800 shots for pictures of their children using a drop-down list of tags. Thanks!
