Hi,
I couldn't make it work, I tried the default configuration, as you say:
This customization is NOT needed for any functionality. The instruction exists merely for anyone who is interested to do this. So I recommend that you use the default value)

So I was trying it but it seems that the files are not found:
I have the following file location in my server (I protected the estore download link with the WP emember plugin. This is because I need to have a download link inside each product post in order to my Gold members can download from them):

[emember_protected]]<a href="http://mysite.com/public_html/sub-domain name/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/downloads">Click here to download</a>[/emember_protected]

It didn't work, My next test was:

[emember_protected]]<a href="http://mysite.com/public_html/sub-domain name/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/downloads/file name.zip">Click here to download</a>[/emember_protected]

I added the name file and also it did'nt work

Another try was to move to another directory but it didn't work too.

So I just have the following option but the file link is not encripted...

[emember_protected]<a href="http://mysite.com/files/filename.zip">Click here to download</a>[/emember_protected]

I made a website to test it. The link to the page where you have this shortcode is:

http://plugintest.rebates2u.com

I create a gold membership for you if you want to test it or tell me if you want an admin user for the page (I can send it to you by email)

I didn't recieve it yet, on the other hand I tried to use this plugin together again, and now the download links are as follow:

[emember_protected][wp_eStore_download_now_button id=2][/emember_protected]

[emember_protected]<a href="http://mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2BOa%2FSIAUPWWjaXr">click here</a>[/emember_protected]

Both of them started to download process they show me the "download file" window and if you click to save the file it download but it has 0 Kb size (when it real size is 4Mb) and if you choose the "Open" option (from the download file window) it gives you the followin message:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet files\Low\Content.IE5\ZEWWHT68\Product's name [6].zip

and it mention that "this file has unknow format or it damaged" another thing is about this number [6] it is not in the real name of the file. it seems that every time that I try to download this number change [1], [2], [3] and so on.
