I have entered a product and set its price to $0.0 (FREE product). I was testing it and when I try to checkout, I get the following message on a paypal page:

Please enter an amount greater than zero.

Can't I include FREE products in the eStore?

    Thanks.

Hi, PayPal does not allow a checkout with $0.0 amount.

You can offer free items though a squeeze page or include the product with another product. You can have multiple downloads for one product. To do this you would need to make a product for each download you want to include.

This page will help you more with the squeeze page form option:

Thank you so much. A good option.

I just have two questions here:

If you look at my sidebar, you will see that the "Download" option is listed at END: http://www.agilejavaoop.com/

1- How can I move the "Download" option to be under the page titles above?
2- How can I add an image or information about the product above the box?

    Thanks.

You place the shortcode or the function where ever you want the squeeze page to appear. How would you place that form in the body of a post?

The key thing to understand here is that the shortcode or the function only places the squeeze page form. You place anything else around it like you place any text or image on your web page (this has got nothing to do with the squeeze page form)

Hi - I offer some FREE products to members on one of my sites.

I set up the product with the price I would charge if I weren't giving it away and then simply use the following Short Code to display the DL option:

    [wp_eStore_download_now_button_fancy_no_price id=71]

Amin was nice enough to create a pretty DL option for me. ;-)

Since folks are already members, I didn't need to take the squeeze page approach.

Hi Amin - I have been recovering from a hard drive wipe and Windows reinstall. The good news is the only casualty was the loss of my email archives.

I FINALLY managed to get QuickBooks up and it remained intact (that was this afternoon!) LOLOL

Also, we are in Tstorm season here and with a 100 yr old house I UNPLUG everything, so I am having LOONNGG hours with no computer or internet. ;-)

    Hi,
am am trying to do something similar. Basically have a product which is say $97,
i wish to have a coupon that would make the product free. ie 100% off or $0.00

Obviously Paypal then doesn't play ball as it is a $0.00 transaction.

The reason i dont want to use the [wp_eStore_free_download:product_id:1:end] tag is that I wish to capture more details, and more importantly the content is wpMember protected. i.e. i want to create an wpmember account for the discounted user.

Is there a way I could work around this or do i have to set up a "free" memmbership in Wpmember to accomplish this and use the [wp_eMember_registration_form:end] codes?

    cheers

    Brendan

It would be better if you set up a "free membership" in WP eMember and put up a registration page using the [wp_eMember_registration_form:end] shortcode.
