    Hi guys,

I've had a look at the post here:http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-estore-product-categorization-431, and I am unclear how this will work within wordpress.

I understand the process of adding products to a category with eStore settings.

So here is what I want to do.

I have three sites that sell different services (the downloads will be product manuals and info forms) with recurring or monthly billing and a one time set up fee.

Rather than creating three different stores (1 for each site), I would like to create 1 store and have three categories with the various products listed within their respective category.

Do I create the categories using the wordpress menu, and add the code to the respective post? I believe pages cannot be added to categories...right?

Do I create individual pages for each category and add the snippet there?

    [wp_eStore_category_products:category_id:1:end]

I'd like to have a menu with links to each category...is this possible?

I'd like to create the "store" in a directory like this for example:

    http://www.mydomain.com/store

Or should I create the "store" in a subdomain, add a new theme w/estore plugin and go from there?

    store.mydomain.com

Please explain the process using eStore in a more detailed fashion.

What are the best practices for this scenario?

I really like the promise of this plugin, and am trying to avoid an ecommerce theme.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

This post will explain the eStore product categorization in more details:
    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forum/topic/product-categorization-options-in-wp-estore-plugin

However, both options can only work from the same WordPress install. You can't go cross domain... meaning you can't mix products from one domain with products from another domain (WordPress doesn't let you show categories from one domain in another domain). Use eStore on your main domain and have all the products there or run 3 different eStore installs on 3 of your WordPress sites.

    Thanks for the reply.

Ok...so I can do this. Create a subdomain and install wp and a theme. Create 3 pages and add the listings/products or services from estore to the various page.

    store.domain.com/page1
    store.domain.com/page2
    store.domain.com/page3

I can then link from product site to the store site page for purchase.

    Gotcha.

    Thank you
