I'm testing out eMember's ability to utilize teaser content... but I can't get it to work.

I have the checkmark for "enable more tag protection", and I have a more tag inserted, and the page is protected.

But the teaser content isn't showing up.

This is for a free membership (if that matters).

    I'm using eMember version 5.0.5

    What else am I missing?

    Thanks

    Matt

    Hi,
I seem to be having a similar problem.

I am working on a development blog and would like to restrict access to the full post from non-subscribers in order to manage the content distribution. This is a free membership situation, just limiting access to the information on the blog. I am also expecting that RSS feeds of the titles will work.

Anyway, the important part for now is that I put [emember_protected] somewhere in the middle of the post, but the whole post is visible if I log out and even if I delete cookies.

    Thanks,
    Ed

More Tag Protection won't work out of the box on pages due to WordPress's limitation. You can read about it here:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More

There is a little work around that you can do on your theme to get this working though:

I'm having this exact problem on posts.

I have "Enable More Tag Protection" enabled.

No matter what combination of "protected" / "not protected" and membership levels I use, a non-logged in visitor just sees "Please login to view this content...." No pre-more tag data is displayed.

I have exactly the same proble as rpickett explained (trying to protect some part of an article on a post). I've just downloaded the plugin, so I have the latest version.

    Thanks in advance.
