I have set up the affiliate sign up page and have followed the instructions on how to make the PayPal email required. It all appears fine.

However I have filled out the form intentionally leaving out some of the "required" details to view what the client would see.

Both times, it went ahead and set up the affiliate account, never catching that 'required' information was missing.

I thought it was due to the PayPal email change I made, but it did the same for the "last name" field.

    Thanks for your help.

This is probably because of the Jquery code not being parsed correctly. It can happen if the "register" script gets corrupted. Please get a fresh build of the plugin from here and test out the signup before you do any modification:

If everything works then add your tweak to make the PayPal field required.

I just purchased the WP-Affiliate program and although the Jquery issued mentioned above appears to be working fine, the form does submit without the 'last name' field filled out, even though it is listed as required.

Do I need a newer update?

I just received my download links about 1 hr ago.

Please post a link to your signup page so I can check it out.

This one looks like it is related to javascript validation conflict. Can you please do this test and let me know what you find out?

I did the theme test and when I switched it to Twenty Ten theme (included with my wordpress install) the form responded correctly when a required field in the affiliate registration form was missed.

We are using the Orion theme by SimpleThemes.com which we understood was a reputable theme developer and we paid to use their theme.

In running the validation test you recommended, it came up with 46 errors and 6 warnings.

I guess we go looking for another theme.

When the affiliate widget is placed in the sidebar, the login and password areas are not blank. How to correct that?

It may not be blank in your browser because it is most likely remembering the username and password and caching it (this is a common browser behavior). This DOES NOT mean that when an anonymous visitor lands on your site (who have never been there before) will have those fields filled.
