Updated the plugin and now its broken

I am having this issue:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getValue() on a non-object in /home/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_auto_responder_handler.php on line 4

I had the previous version working just fine, but I got an update by email (a link) redownloaded it and reinstalled it, and now its broken. Please help!!

Did you deactivate and delete the previous version of the plugin before installing the new version?

Hi Noche, I believe you need an update as this was a bug we recently fixed (version 5.6.2). I have sent you an update via email. Please let me know if you do not receive this email.
