Hello,
I’ve been using the free Simple WordPress Shopping Cart and just purchased eStore. Instructions say to deactivate the free plugin prior to installing. I don’t mind mind taking the store down for a few minutes, put will the shortcode now being use work when estore is becomes active? Or will I need to generate new shortcodes?
Congratulations for making the move to eStore. Unlike the simple shopping cart; the eStore architecture is database driven.
“Upgrading” your existing store will require that you somehow import your products into the database. Once that has been done, you must then redo your product pages; because Estore uses a more advanced (but not compatible) set of shortcodes.
what if i were to build the store on another domain. Will I be able to export/import db, etc after activation?
