    Good Day,

    A. Last night I increased the prices of our 8 products, all by $10.00. Four of the products are one week trials and the other four of them are direct buys, but all 8 products are subscription services. Therefore, we're using the subscription buttons.

    B. Today, we received two e-mails with the following:

Subject: WP eStore - Payment Verification Failed!

The post payment verification for a payment failed. This could happen for one of two reasons:

    1. The fund for the payment have not been cleared yet (no need to do anything as the digital product will be delivered once the fund clears).
    2. Someone maybe trying to scam a purchase! (no worries... WP eStore got your back :)

    Here are some more details...

Wrong Product Price Detected! Actual Product Price : 20 Amount Paid: 10.00

    C. We had never received these type of e-mails before and so the increase of the prices is what's generating these e-mails.

    D. Searching through this forum I found a post with the following suggestion: "When you use a subscription button use the value of the recurring amount in the "Price" field and you won't get this failure message."

    E. I've double checked and all products have the same price for both "Product Price" at the top of the product page and "Recurring Billing Amount" in the Subscription/Recurring Payments Settings section.

    F. The two e-mails are for two payments from current members who are paying their monthly fee. They've been members for a very long time. So the two failure e-mails are not for new members but instead for two current members. In PayPal, we see that the two payments are correct, for the old pricing, but eStore does not think it is correct.

    G. How can we fix this?

Thanking you in advance for your time.

    Cheers!

For subscription payments the amount in the price field doesn't actually matter for the actual payment (the actual values are taken from the subscription section). This allows you to specify a explanatory value in the price field (for example: 7 USD trial then 29 USD per month)... this comes in handy when using a fancy product display.

    So, you have two options:
    1) Either use a value like the following in the price field for subscription:
7 USD trial then 29 USD per month

    2) or use a value that is lower than your previous recurring amount in the "Price" field of the product. This will make it to where this post payment check will pass.
