Hi, All of our plugins are compatible with the latest version of WordPress.

The following forum post will explain more about what is happening.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions.

  • #11 by CeeK on January 1, 2011 - 4:10 pm

Is there a reason that this plugin does NOT work with WP 3.0.4??

I can click and setup every single link except the WP Affiliate link which is the first link above the SETTINGS link.

Just wondering cuz everyone else was able to be configured. I got the dreaded “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Please update your plugin. As of now, I’ve wasted some money on your product.

You can use the following shortcode on a post or page to retrieve the referrer value:

    [wp_affiliate_referrer]

If you want to use it from your theme’s template file then you can use the following function:

    wp_affiliate_get_referrer()

Glad to see such a useful affiliate plug-in finally available. My clients are very interested in affiliate marketing and it will be a great addition to my web design package and includes all the bells and whistles I used to have to employ manually. Thanks!

Hey! I would like to just comment that in my opinion WordPress has brought the home user and the small business the benefits of what was once a specialty field for Information Technologists. Sure, in order to become the best specialists are required, however, to allow your small business to compete, this is the perfect initial solution.

  • #17 by admin on October 31, 2010 - 12:30 am

Yes the affiliate plugin will be able to track the affiliate even the user has to login.

Yes the affiliate can just link to the homepage. As a matter of fact the affiliate can link to any page controlled by WordPress (example: post, page, archives, categories etc)

Yes the affiliate plugin will need a separate login because PHPurchase is an external plugin. The plugin developer might be able to include a similar feature that I have added to the WP eMember which makes the login the same for both.

You the admin will know who referred who. In the admin dashboard every sale will have a column that ties the sale to the product.

  • #18 by Melissa on October 29, 2010 - 12:49 pm

I want to integrate the affiliate plugin with PHPurchase (membership and shopping cart features).

    1. I will have a ‘members only’ store that requires a user to login before displaying/seeing the store. So, there will be basic members and affiliate members. Will WP Affiliate still be able to track the affiliate who referred them, even if the user has to login first? Can the affiliate just link to the website homepage, or must it be to a specific item?

    2. The affiliate will also be a PHPurchase member. Will the affiliate profile panel (like in the demo) require a separate login, or will it be tied to the member profile?

    3. Lastly, is there any way to know which member was referred by each affiliate? I see the demo just shows date and time for referrals, but will I know exactly which basic member they are tied to?

    Thanks.

If my website accepts manual payments (cheque/deposit) from customers, can I manually update the affiliate’s account for that sale?

  • #26 by James Martell@ Affiliate Marketing Training on September 22, 2010 - 12:14 am

It is quite sometthing. I remember back in 2002 how difficult it was to find software to run an in-house affiliate program. I did eventually find one, but it $1500 and offered only basic functionality. You look at where we’re at today with WordPress and these high quality plugins — it really is amazing.

Hi Adam, You can manual change the Affiliate commission rates for each Affiliate.

    Example:
    Affiliate A = 25%
    Affiliate B = 30%
    Affiliate C = 50%

  • #31 by Adam on August 22, 2010 - 10:12 pm

Can we assign separate commission rates for different affiliates? Or assign an affiliate level? For instance, we might have JV partners that are at a 40-50% affiliate commission…and we might just have random people who want to be affiliates at a 10-20% commission. Is this possible?

    Thanks.

I know WP Aff works with wordpress. I also use Wishlist member. My sales pages for my wishlist member products are on several separate domains, as normal html pages, with buy buttons that feed into the wishlist system. Will WP Aff work if the plugin is on my central membership site but my buy buttons are on other domains, thus affiliates will send visitors to those other domains. thanks.

  • #36 by Josh on August 16, 2010 - 12:32 pm

@Admin: The response I got from the Shopperpress support team is “we dont have any affiliate program within our theme therefore we dont have any “3rd party integration” for affiliate systems. Does this mean WP Affiliate Platform will not work with their theme then?
