Hi, there is an option to load external page in lightbox (not any other content). You can see the demo here (Load Webpage From a URL in a Lightbox Popup section):

    Hi,

I was just wondering if your lightbox loads external content via iframes? And if so, is this the only option?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

@Sara, It is possible to have links in the description field. However, I’m not sure if it will work with all the HTML tags.

  • #10 by Sara on December 3, 2012 - 5:01 pm

Hi great plugin – in the description under the video – pp_description- is it possible to have links and other HTML?

    Thanks
    Sara

  • #11 by Ivy on August 26, 2012 - 9:16 pm

@Robert, Yes this can be done. There is a shortcode that will allow you to do this.

  • #12 by Robert on August 26, 2012 - 2:50 am

    Hi, The plugin looks great.

Is it possible to disable suggested videos at the end of a YouTube video?

  • #19 by admin on October 7, 2011 - 11:10 pm

    You can find it here:

WordPress Settings -> WP Lightbox -> Library Settings Tab

  • #20 by Mike on October 7, 2011 - 10:16 pm

I couldn’t find a settings menu, but I was able to access the code by clicking Edit next to WP Video Lightbox under Installed Plugins. I did a search for Autoplay and changed where it said False to True. That did the trick :)

  • #21 by admin on October 4, 2011 - 1:49 am

@Mike, In the settings menu of this plugin it will have an option to enable video auto play if the library in question offers that option.

  • #22 by Mike on October 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm

Can you explain how and where I add the code to make it autoplay in the popup box?

  • #23 by admin on September 25, 2011 - 11:53 pm

@Chase, the lightbox ultimate plugin does have HTML5 support for videos. There is a shortcode for embedding video using HTML5 compatibility (check the demo page for the HTML5 section).

  • #24 by Chase Peysen on September 25, 2011 - 11:07 pm

Is there a way we can pay to have this have HTML5 video support? It’s an incredible plugin. GREAT CODING!

  • #25 by admin on September 5, 2011 - 9:12 pm

@Aaron, If you are willing to pay a fee then ofcourse we can look into it but it will be a few days before we can look at it. Yes the lightbox Ultimate plugin have support for the commercial version of the flow player (you will just need the serial key for the commercial flow player).

  • #26 by Aaron on September 4, 2011 - 11:55 pm

    And, (sorry),
Just for clarification, does this plug in support the commercial add-driven version of flow player?

  • #27 by Aaron on September 4, 2011 - 11:25 pm

    Thanks for answering :)

Would you be willing to modify the plugin to accept jw, if I paid you a fee?

  • #28 by admin on September 4, 2011 - 10:10 pm

@Gage, this plugin can auto play a video but automatically popping up the video when the page loads is a slightly different thing. This will just need a little bit of JavaScript code to popup that video when the page loads (we should be able to accommodate this).

  • #29 by admin on September 4, 2011 - 9:59 pm

@Aaron, the lightbox ultimate plugin does not use JW Player unfortunately (this is something we want to investigate down the path but flow player seems to be the popular choice at the moment).

  • #30 by Gage on September 4, 2011 - 3:43 pm

Interested in purchasing your WordPress Lightbox Ultimate plugin and I have one question before I buy it.

Can the WordPress Lightbox Ultimate Plugin be set to pop-up AUTOMATICALLY upon arriving at the home page of a Woo Theme as well as set for AUTO-PLAY?

    Thank you,

    Gage

  • #31 by Aaron on September 4, 2011 - 4:26 am

    HI!
It really seems like you guys have a great team here, and the tutorials of how to use your products are great (especially because you show us what the products do BEFORE we buy them!) … Anyway… :)
Had one very important question to ask you before i decide whether or not to purchase. I currently use a commercially licensed version of the latest JW Player for videos on my site. I use their ad service to play a few pre-roles on my videos, so I am kind of partial to the revenue stream!
Am I able to use JW player with your lightbox plugin, instead of flow player?

  • #32 by admin on August 30, 2011 - 9:22 pm

@Jack, not sure why you would want to integrate the WordPress Lightbox ultimate plugin with CDNVault though. The Lightbox ultimate plugin can embed Amazon S3 videos on a page using Lightbox or the standard on page embedding method.

I don’t know of any easy method to migrate your existing videos unfortunately.

  • #33 by Jack on August 30, 2011 - 2:28 pm

Hi there, this plugin looks great by the way!

Can I use this in conjunction with Amazon S3 linked up to a plugin called CDN vault?

If you are not aware of this plugin, it is basically a secure way of protecting and easily posting the files from Amazon S3. Does lightbox still work with CDN vault?

Also, due to the fact I have hundreds of videos on my site, is it possible to quickly migrate this lightbox plugin into all of the videos currently on my site? Without the need to manually add the lightbox into each post.

Looking forward to hearing your response

    Many thanks

  • #34 by admin on August 17, 2011 - 10:31 am

@Dawnna, look at the “Using HTML5″ section in that PDF doc.

  • #35 by Dawnna on August 17, 2011 - 8:30 am

I have the PDF and PRODUCT can you give me details please. I don’t see how to do it

  • #36 by wpCommerce on August 17, 2011 - 8:06 am

We have added two new shortcodes which will allow you to display S3 protected video in any HTML5 compatible browser. So now it should work fine on iPad or iPhone.

  • #37 by dawnna on August 16, 2011 - 1:23 pm

I made the purchase of this item based on this comment from the admin in April “I haven’t tested it with iPhone yet but I have tested it with my iPad and they work fine (I am pretty sure it will work on iPhone too). The flash videos won’t work on iPad though because apple doesn’t support flash on iPhone or iPad.

Yes you can upload your videos to Amazon s3 and embed with this plugin.”

So, I uploaded my videos to S3; followed the instructions and tada… does not work on IPad. Other than FLOWPLAYER which player can I use for my secure S3 files that will work on the IPAD.

    Thanks!

  • #38 by admin on July 30, 2011 - 10:59 pm

@Jonathan, The lightbox ultimate plugin do not have any particular shortcode to handle files hosted on Cincopa but assuming it is just a video hosting site you should be able to host a video there and get the URL of the video and use it with one of the mp4/mov/flash video popup shortcode.

  • #39 by Jonathan on July 30, 2011 - 7:55 pm

Can I use Cincopa players and files hosted on Cincopa with this plugin? While we are at it, do you have an opinion of Cincopa’s services. I haven’t set up an account with them yet but am considering it instead of S3.

  • #40 by admin on July 27, 2011 - 11:16 pm

That sounds like you don’t have the acrobat reader installed correctly for the browser in question. If the browser can’t recognize a PDF file it will just prompt you to download it. Can you view PDF file in your browser normally?

  • #41 by Derek on July 27, 2011 - 2:59 am

When I test the demo of your WP Lightbox Ultimate using a Mac and Firefox it just opens a blank lightbox then opens system download window rather than displaying PDF in the lightbox. Is there a way around this?

    Derek

  • #42 by admin on July 24, 2011 - 9:21 pm

Yeah the PDF in lightbox definitely works in all major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE etc). Not sure if the acrobat reader installation for your browser is messed up somehow (this could be the reason for it to not work for you).

  • #43 by Jeff on July 24, 2011 - 1:12 pm

This seems to be a wonderful plugin from using it here on your site.

I have been looking for a way to lightbox pdf files, yours does this well in IE, but not in Firefox, at least I could not get your example to work in Firefox.

Does this work for you. Is it my install of FF that is the issue?

How many sites can I use your plugin once purchased?

    Thanks.

  • #44 by admin on July 20, 2011 - 10:55 pm

Nope, you can take a screenshot and make an image from your small video thumb then use that image as the anchor.
