Tips on what items to use or keep for Battlegrounds
Keep/Restock the following items prior to joining a battleground
- Insignia of the Alliance: This is a must have trinket. ‘Hotkey’ or ‘Macro’ this trinket so you can use it quickly.
- Bandages: Must level up your First Aid profession to the maximum skill that your level permits and keep bandages in your inventory. Bandages can heal a decent amount of health in a short time.
- Healing Potions: Should always keep healing potions and use it when necessary.
- Sharpening Stones: If you are a melee class then use Sharpening Stones to get some extra damage from your weapons.
- Minor Recombobulator: Restores 150 health and mana to a friendly target and attempts to dispel any polymorph effects from them. Reduced effectiveness against polymorph effects from casters of level 31 and higher. Use this on your friends when they are sheeped.
- Food: Must use food that adds stamina, intellect, spirit etc when well fed.
- Bombs: Used specifically to stop flag runners in WSG or in the case of a rogue if they are rooted or frozen to the spot and cannot move, it is useful so that u can stun the enemy for a few seconds while the stun used on you wears off.
- Rumsey Rum Black Label: Increases your stamina by 15, it can be stacked with minor fortitude and the food.
- Magic Dust: Puts the enemy target to sleep for up to 30 seconds. Any damage caused will awaken the target. Only one target can be asleep at a time. Use it on the enemy and take advantage.
- Swiftness Potions: This potion is very useful especially in WSG when running back with the flag or trying to catch the opponent flag runner.
- Elixirs and Potions: Keep all the useful elixirs and potions that boost your Agility, strength, stamina, intellect, spirit etc in your inventory.
Few Tactics/Tips/Things to remember
- When fighting multiple opponents, always attack the healers first.
- Shamans could be very annoying, they will drop an earth bind totem and try to run away from you and dps!
- Warlocks can be very tiresome when they fear you, forget the pet, go straight for the enemy.
- If you are a melee class and you are being attacked by a Hunter or Mage then get close to the enemy and engage rather than trying to run away.
