This page has memberships to it and it will not re-direct to the checkout page which has an upsell on it. It goes directly to paypal where as all straight products re-direct without a problem
[http://kimberlykate.com/store/]
[http://kimberlykate.com/become-a-member/] (these ones won’t go to the checkout page)
Also, is there anyway to make the re-direct only happen for the subscription products only and not all products? We would like the upsell to be for only the memberships.
August 24, 2014 at 1:58 am #65117adminKeymasterHi, Go to the settings and turn off the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” option. This will turn off the auto re-direction to checkout page after someone adds an item to the cart.
Next, lets try to handle the up-selling for your subscription offerings. Subscription products are different than normal one off cost items. PayPal won’t allow you to buy for example 2 subscriptions in ONE go. PayPal also won’t allow you to do a subscription item and an one off cost item checkout in one go.
I am going to recommend you try the product variation option to offer an upsell to your subscription. Here is an example:
Lets say you have a $10 per month subscription for membership payment. You can have a variation option in that product (a customer can optionally pick these options) that increases the price. Take a look at the following documentation to learn how product variations work:
You could also create a totally new subscription product with slightly different pricing and other offer then have both the options on your landing page. The customer can pick one.
Another idea is to upsell the product on your “Thank You” page. So after someone purchase an item, he/she will see your other offer when they land on the thank you page.

Still testing out the up-sell portion before I ask more questions on that… thank you SO much for your help on this

Please read the reply from @admin:
“Subscription” products go directly to PayPal; the “checkout page” is only used for add-to-cart type buttons.
