I am still in testing/debug mode for a website and am using [wp_eStore_order_summary] at the bottom of the product (shop) page. When I add a product, complete checkout (sandbox mode), and come back to try another order, that last item from previous order appears in new order summary as soon as I add something to the cart. So, on new order, cart says it’s empty. I add one item, but two items appear in summary. Also, in the total amount area, the old item is all that appears. So, new items don’t show up in total ammount of summary.
I am also using compact cart 4 with the summary. The compact cart always shows the correct order total, i.e., only the current items are included. So even though the summary has items from current order plus last item from previous order, the compact cart is displaying current total for current items only.
One last note, I have a weird 3-page check out process that includes a page with a Gravity Form (for customer info) between the product order page and the payment page. Can’t think how that form would cause last item from previous order to be carried over, but I thought you should know it’s there. If you need a link to the site, I’d prefer to send that privately (rather than posting it here) since I don’t have everything secured yet.
Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
October 21, 2013 at 10:27 pm #58404adminKeymasterDo you have a caching plugin? Can you please post a link to the page where I can go and add an item to the cart?

So, I set the value to false, cleared browser cache (could not find cache folder on site), and then I tried a new transaction. It still picked up that second item from the last order. Note that this issue only appears in the order summary, the cart and final checkout screen show the correct information.
Here’s a link to the shop page on the test site:

Note that when you get to the customer info form, you just need to type in an email to be put through to the payment page.
Thanks for your help!
October 22, 2013 at 8:05 pm #58406Karalee DickersonMemberJust wanted to update you a bit on the testing I’ve been doing today, in case it helps.
With no caching plugin and cache set to false, I have tested the checkout process on three computers and 4 browsers. The problem shows up in each environment. When I tested, I added an item to the cart, entered an email address on the customer info page, and proceeded through to the Paypal test page.
Then, I returned to the product page. The cart was empty. I added an item to the cart and scrolled to the order summary. The summary showed the item I just added plus the item from the previous order. However, the compact cart below the order summary showed just the latest item added.
So, nothing has changed since my first email. I just wanted to let you know I’ve tried it in other environments and am still seeing the issue.
Thanks again.
October 22, 2013 at 10:59 pm #58407adminKeymasterLooks like you have customize the checkout flow with your own form in the middle. So I am pretty sure the plugin is not hitting all the standard code that it does when you use the standard shopping cart checkout. How are you resetting/clearing the cart after the payment?
Have you setup the following option by any chance?

October 23, 2013 at 1:36 am #58408Karalee DickersonMemberI have not set up the option you mentioned. Sadly, this is all a bit above my pay grade, so I have no idea how to reset/clear the cart beyond completing the checkout process by paying.
Yes, the checkout is very customized — which probably means my issue is beyond the scope of your tech support. The client insists on having the form, though, since she wants that medical/referral info. Also, she has lots of international clients and will need to sort out shipping separately based on their contact info.
I know your plugin was designed for digital products, but it has just been perfect for her small, product offering (11 items). Really, the only issue I’ve had is the order summary. It’s kind of a nice detail to add to the screen since I can’t display the actual cart (since I need them to complete the form…sheesh).
The best option here might be to remove the summary short code and just leave the compact cart. I hate to waste more of your time with an issue that I am likely causing with the Gravity Form.
Thanks for trying, though.
