    Hi guys,

Thanks for this plugin; it sounds like a great idea for protecting our PDF products.

I'm configuring PDF Stamper with Clickbank, and I'm getting the error "Secret key or source file information is not present in the request" generated by the [pdf_stamper_clickbank_purchase] shortcode on my Thank You page.

Manual stamping works fine. I changed the secret keys to ones of my own choosing in the options screen; could this be the cause?

    Thanks,
    Graham

Make sure to use the same secret key that you specified in the settings menu of this product.

You may have to change your default destination directory in your plugin settings.
Somebody else had a similar issue which they solved by changing this. See last entry in this post:

Thanks for the reply Peter, but I'm confused; where else do I use or specify the secret key? I can't see any mention of the secret key at http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-pdf-stamper/wp-pdf-stamper-and-clickbank-integration-144

    Confused,
    Graham

    It's in the settings menu.
    This page should help:

Thanks for the reply Peter. I'm already aware of the secret key setting in the PDF Stamper Settings menu; my question is where _else_ do I need to specify the secret key? Is it passed from clickbank.com to the Thank You page? If so, I can't find the place on clickbank.com to set it.

    Thanks,
    Graham

    Key Master

That value is read from the settings menu so as long as you have a value in that field and you saved it, you don't have to do anything else. I have a feeling your hosting does not allow CURL request to be sent to the same server which is why you are facing this issue. Can you please ask your hosting provider and find out if my assumption is correct?

Ok, let's go back to basics here. Secret keys are used to secure and verify transactions across insecure channels. Both the sender and the receiver need to know the secret key. The sender uses it to encrypt stuff, and the receiver uses it to verify that the sender is trusted. In PDF Stamper, the receiver is told the key setting in the settings menu. Where is the sender (ClickBank in this case I presume) told the secret key? Or does the PDF Stamper Clickbank script read the key from the PDF Stamper settings as well?

I'll ask my hosting provider about CURL requests. Manual stamping works fine; does it rely on CURL requests being sent to the same server? I'm using HostGator, a pretty popular hosting service. Your Minimum Requirements Checker plugin reports two ticks.

    Thanks,
    Graham

Update: HostGator support tell me CURL needed to be enabled. They've done that now. I'll test again and let you know how I go. Thanks, Graham

OK, I've just tested again with CURL enabled. I still get the error message "Secret key or source file information is not present in the request." Help please!

    Thanks,
    Graham

Well this is weird; despite the error message, it does seem to send the email to the customer with the stamped link correctly. The Thank You page with the shortcode has the problem.
