    Hi--

I signed up for Paypal's Website Payments Pro so that customers never leave my site when they're buying items from me (as opposed to using Paypal Website Payments Standard, where the client adds item to cart, then is redirected to PayPal to checkout and complete purchase, then goes back to merchant's website).

I've got my VA (who is familiar w/the estore plugin) configuring the plugin and my products on my website. In the test checkout we've done so far, I see that I am being redirected to PayPal to complete my purchase (as I would normally do with Paypals' Standard package).

So does eStore work with Website Payments Pro? And if so, can you point me to the documentation to tell me what to do differently since I am not using Website Payments Standard?

    Thanks,

    Lara Galloway

Hi Lara, As of right now PayPal Pro does not work with the eStore. We do plan to add this option in the future but it is unknown when this will be done.

Update: The following AddOn can add PayPal payments pro to eStore

    Hey Ivy,

Is it that the PayPal Pro doesn't work at all with eStore or is it that eStore just won't work for an SSL payment page on the site?

So, from what you said here...

So, yeah it has it's advantages and disadvantages but when you are starting out it's alright to go with the basic one and then slowly work your way up.

PayPal Pro will work with eStore in general but will NOT redirect and keep the visitor on your webiste.

PayPal payments pro will not work with eStore as it hasn't been integrated yet (this is one of the things we have plans to add in later)

Thanks for the clarification. From the phrasing in several other WP eStore areas, I took it to mean that the particular feature didn't work but now I understand that PayPal Pro is not compatible at all and that PayPay Standard (personal, premium, or business) are the only PayPal options that work with eStore at this time.

Has Website Payment Pro been enabled yet? After installing eStore for a client, PayPal have called saying this needs to be enabled on my client's site. I have payments being rejected because of it.

Hi, The eStore does not have PayPal Pro integration at this time. That is strange that PayPal is requiring you to have PayPal Pro, have they gave you a reason for this?

Paypal Pro is required because standard will not let you charge a credit card over $2000 in a 90 day period. Many of my clients products are over $2000 so they are being rejected by Paypal.

Do you have a timeline on the Paypal pro integration? I'm looking at installing alternative ecommerce solutions and starting from scratch, at my cost.
