Hello, I need help understanding how to set it up so that I can collect the physical addresses of customers so I can send them my physical product, a children’s book. Thank you!
February 9, 2017 at 12:05 am #75142delcipMemberI think I figured out the answer. PayPal collects the shipping information and because my product does not have a download, WPeStore will also show the shipping information with the customer information as well. PayPal will email me the customer information and I’m assuming I can view that on the PayPal website and I will be able to see the customer information in the WPeStore as well. Is this all correct?

You, can also get the address info of a transaction from your paypal account.
The following addon maybe helpful for you:

February 9, 2017 at 9:16 pm #75144delcipMemberI’ve been doing some testing of selling my product. My mom just went through the process and (I’m assuming) must not have her shipping information typed into her PayPal account. When the order was completed I do not have her shipping address in the manage customer area because neither WPeStore or PayPal asked for it. How can I be positive that shipping information will be collected? I did download and add the order management addon to my plugins but I still see no options about shipping information. Thanks for your help
February 9, 2017 at 11:08 pm #75145adminKeymasterWhen a customer is checking out a physical item, the plugin will tell paypal to force collect shipping address. Do any of the following to flag the eStore product as a physical item.
Edit the eStore product in question, then make sure to uncheck the “Downloadable” field from the Digital Content Details section of the product configuration. That will tell the plugin that this is a physical item.
Alternatively, if you have specified shipping for that item in the Shipping & Tax section then that will flag this item as a physical item also.
Give that a go and let me know it goes after that.
February 9, 2017 at 11:12 pm #75146delcipMemberOk. That solves the mystery. The “downloadable” was unchecked but I had taken off the shipping charge for testing and just did a penny sale. So, when I add the shipping again, it will work. Makes total sense. Sorry I didn’t think of that.
