    Hi,

my customers can choose out of many differnt physical products. For example, I offer the pictures in different physical dimensions and different paper surfaces.

My idea is to have different price lists, - selectable from the picture gallery, - one list for glossy paper and one for products with silk surface and so on.

My actual price list is very long and the customers have to scroll the page far down. This usage is uncomfortable and I want to change.

Do you have have any idea how to find a solution?

    Thanks in advance.

    Have you considered using variations?

    Hi wzp,

Yes, of course. But this feature isn't the solution which I mean.

Please imagine, that you have a galery on your screen an you have selected a picture, which you want to buy as a hardcopy. So far, so good.

In the next step I want to give the possibility to choose one of the product lists like Paperprints with glossy surface, paper prints with matte surface and paper prints with silk surface. For the future I plan to create additional lists for prints on aluminum, acrylic glass and canvas. When I put all these product variations with different prices and dimensions in one single list, it will become as large as it will be unoperable for my customer.

I imagine to place a pulldown menu or something similar near to the selected picture where I can choose the product category list. Inside the list I select the wanted dimension and how much items I want put into the basket.

Is this somehow possible? I'm looking forward to your answer.

    Regards,
    Jens

    Hi Jens,
I know what you are asking for but this type of functionality is currently not available in the photo seller plugin.
Although it may seem quite straight-forward when describing it as you have done, however trying to implement it via coding is not usually quite as easy.

Having said that you might be able to work around this by being a bit creative with the current functionality of this plugin.
For example, one thing you can do is to create separate galleries to represent the different materials and for each of these galleries you can create a dedicated price list.
Each price list will handle the different materials you want to use. Or you can group similar materials in a single price list.

In addition I think you could also utilise the album feature to further group your galleries by materials etc.

Regarding your initial suggestion, if the implementation is feasible, perhaps we can do a paid custom job for you which we can discuss off-line.
Let me know if you are interested we can discuss further via email.

    Hi Peter,

OK, - that sounds like you are now thinking about those functionality. An order of mine for a individual paid coding is no option at the moment.

The possibility to create a cbunch of galleries with the same content but different price lists for the individual materials, was also in my mind. It could be a temporary solution.

I'm look to the future and may be, - sometime, - this is implemented in an updated photo seller plugin.

Thanks a lot for your answer.
    Regards, Jens
