I am going to sell books via my WP estore (epub)
As you described in the forum, I uploaded an epub file using filezilla to hostgator. However, if I do so, the file is accessible publicly. Can you tell me how I can upload the epub file using filezilla and protect it so that it’s only accessible vie the WP estore plugin? Where shall I uploaded it so that it’s not accessible for the public but for WP estore?
Thank you!
For the “ultimate” protection, you can host your files on Amazon S3 and use eStore’s Amazon S3 integration. The cost for the first year is free, and users have been reporting a monthly cost of less than 15 cents thereafter.
If you insist on locally hosting your files, there are ways of securing it, but they are not as secure as the Amazon S3 solution.

The only reason for not using Amazon S3, is if your file needs to be processed by the PDF Stamper.
