Enter the following text in a post or page to display a list of all products in a stylish way similar to the one shown above.
See the Product Categorization post to learn how you can display a list of products from a specific category.
Note: We provide technical support for our premium plugins via our customer only support forum
This is PERFECT! Thanks so much. I’ll use it right now.
Hi Mindi, We have a shortcode in the “extra shortcodes plugin” that might just be what you are looking for:
[wp_eStore_latest_products number=5 style=1]
Displays the last 5 recently added products on a post
or page using fancy display 1. You can modifiy the
“number=5” and “style=1” parameters to customize
the display option and the number of recently added
products to be displayed.
PHP
But I already have them in the category that I want them to be in and I understand you can’t put products in multiple categories… I currently just have it set to display 1 category but really would like all my most recent products to display here.
It’s not a big deal, just an idea.
Thanks
Mindi
I can introduce a shortcode that would do that but couldn’t you just create a category and assign all the products that you want to display to this category then use the shortcode to display all products from this category?
Checkout some of the shortcodes I have introduced in the extra shortcodes plugin:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460
Hi Amin, Love to know if there is a way to make it so you could use [wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end] and then make a list of Product ids that should be excluded from a list… Is that a possibility?
Thanks
Mindi
Hi Ralph, Please see the following forum post this will tell you how to fix this error. Please make sure to visit the link at the top of the post before you try the workaround.

Hi there,
I tried using the shortcode [wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end] on a test page and I am getting the following error:
/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_misc_functions.php on line 487
You can view the page at: http://rjaviation.com/learntofly/pilot-shop-2.html
Please advise…

umm. I guess i was using the wronge short code to try and display my catagory products list.
i’m using [wp_eStore_category_products:category_id:1:end] now and it works.
sorry thanks
jm
please ignore the previous link this is now my test page for this problem
http://awakeningnow.info/site/?page_id=458
Hi guys, i’m now trying to use the category short code to display a list of that catagories products on this page
http://awakeningnow.info/site/?page_id=372
but all i get is the heading for the catagory.
I have edited the products to use the cat heading of “Products”
as i wish to have some hidden products that i can pass to clients,
All that displays is the heading.
thanks
jerel
Oh, ok. That makes the most sense.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Hi Mike, There is no way to exclude the free product from “Display all products list” as it still counts as a product. The best way to handle this would be to use categories. Put all your free products in the “Free Category” and all the other ones in a different category then use the appropriate shortcode to display all the products from that category.
Hi,
Firstly, I’d like to say eStore is so much better than all of the other WordPress eCommerce options I’ve tried. Thanks for the plugin.
I’m just having one small problem. I’ve set up a “squeeze page” with a free download which is working fine, but I would like to able to exclude the free download from the list of products I get when I use the [wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end] shortcode on my products page.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Julie, you can do this manually with a simple tweak. The following post should explain it:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forum/topic/how-to-display-the-products-in-ascending-order
I know this question was asked last year – checking for possible update: is there any way to sort products on All Products page in ascending rather than descending order? sos and thanks so much – this is going faster than I thought and looking good! Will have this site whipped into shape shortly!
Hi Andre, if you refer to the reply I gave to “Kickingahead” then it should answer your question.
Great, thanks!
I also just found this on your page.
“Automatic Link Expiration (The encrypted link the buyer receives also gets expired after a configurable amount of time (eg. 12 hours) so the link doesn’t get passed around)”
I guess that answers my question about time-limiting the encrypted link, I guess you can set that to eg. 1 hour?
Which brings me to my other question:
Is it also possible to time-limit access to a post?
IF NOT, does the URL in the address bar stay encrypted after the user visits the post they bought?
Thanks
@Andre, yeah you should be able to do this.
Of course, the encrypted link would also need a time-limit to prevent the customer of always having access to the movie.
Cheers
Hey!
I have a similar question as Kickingahead.
I’m planning to run a V.O.D site with streaming content on protected posts.
Would I be able to add the streaming movies as “products”, and when the customer buys this “product” (either with paypal or manual checkout/invoice) he will get transferred to the post with the streaming content?
I tried the DEMO manual checkout, and I would only have to change/add a few fields for it to look like a real invoice.
This is all depending if you have any time-limit control over the digital products you buy? If there is no time-limit, I guess an encrypted streaming-link to the movie in the Order Email would suffice.
Thanks
André
Hi Kickingahead, We will email you the script and instructions on where to add it to the plugin. At this time there is no order history for customers. In the email that is sent out it does list the products they purchased along with links for any items that are downloadable. You can requests a feature to be added on our wish list page.
Ivy
@admin
How do i get the script after purchasing and emailing you… also do we have a order history for the products purchased? or is there a way a customer can view his purchases … i.e the full view after logging in after a few days?
@Kickingahead, for viewable products (eg. streaming view) I can give you an additional script that will work with eStore so when someone clicks on the link they can view a the specified page (that has the products embedded in it). They won’t know the real URL of the page cause it will be shown to them in an iFrame.
The other option is to use the wordpress membership plugin where you can embed your videos and pdf on the post or pages then protect it so only the members can view it.
Hi there
Im new to wordpress and one of my friend referred wpestore as an option for my requirement but I dont understand a few thing…
1. I sell viewable products like videos and pdf’s … is there a way or option using this plugin I will be able to sell them and only viewable if the user has purchased that?
2. I sell streaming videos through a private channel and pdf’s through scribd so is it possible to integrate their api on the product page
Please let me know abt it.. so i can go ahead with the purchase
Regards
It depends on how you want to design your product display. This URL should explain more:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-ecommerce-knowledgebase-523#wp_estore_overview
You can’t have multiple images for the “Display all products” option
hai, can we insert many picture on single product? Thanks
@Eduardo, Your theme’s sidebar doesn’t seem to put a newline after the widget title. Try putting a <br /> before the shopping cart. I will send you the instruction in an email. It seem to work fine in Firefox and IE8 though.
Thank you for your help. I fixed the thumb issue. Now you may go to the link below and ad a couple of products so you can see how the cart widget is off the side bar
http://heraldicablog.com/tienda/
thank you for your time
@Eduardo, okay but it doesn’t seem to be really protecting the images as one can just go to the following URL and get the image like I did:
http://heraldicablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/AAA-AQUI-SU-ESCUDO.jpg
You should consider putting watermark on the image to have better protection. Anyway, that plugin is mucking up the HTML as it’s putting a background image inside an image link so you won’t be able to use the fancy display when using that plugin.
Regarding the widget.. please send me a link where I can go and have a look. Please note that you can change the size of the cart title from the CSS of this plugin and make it smaller so it fits.
Also,
I placed the shopping cart as a widget and the title is moving the cart info off the frame…. what am I doing wrong?
Yes,
It is a plugin I installed to protect the graphics to be downloaded, the plugin is called iProtect… is there a way to fix this without deactivating this plugin?
Just had a quick look and looks like something on your site is putting the images as background image?
<div style=”background-image:url(http://heraldicablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/AAA-AQUI-SU-ESCUDO.jpg); background-repeat: no-repeat;”>
any idea what could be doing this (maybe a plugin you installed?)
WHen using the fancy option it does not display thumbnail why?
here is the link
http://heraldicablog.com/test-1/
@John, did you enter that tag in the HTML view of the post or page?
this did not show when i posted — “show-wp-cart-products-table”
hi, is not showing anything?
john
Hi John, yes, please use the following:
<!–show-wp-cart-products-table–>
or the following to display it from a PHP file (eg. the template file)
<?php echo wp_estore_products_table(); ?>
hi, is there a way to list all products not using the stylish way — other than manually entering them on the page
something similar to [wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end],however just listing the product name, price and button
thx
john
Hi Heather, thank you for that.. I had a quick look and looks like the images you are using are not squarish so it’s getting distorted when it is resized. Please use images that are square in dimension for the thumbnail. I will add a smart thumbnail option in a future release to take care of this.
Sorry about that. http://expealidocious.com/handmade/nursingarpon
Hi Heather, Please post a link to the page where you are using it so I can have a look and see what kind of issue you are having.
I am using the fancy display to show some of my products, but the thumbnails are distorted in this view. Is there a way to fix this? I thought I saw a way to fix this one day but I could be getting the estore options confused with the options in the next generation plugin I am also using. Thanks for your help.
LOL.. yeah it is possible to include links in the description field (you can put any HTML in the description field). I will send you an email to follow this up.
I love your plugin by the way, I would just like to know, I am almost half retarded when it comes to PHP. (I am getting old and it is a long way from HTML) Yes I used to type it out back in the day when I played on the PC all the time. You remember before WYSIWYG. LOL
1: Any way is there any way to add a url to the description. Like
I like being able to list all of the products in a category, but some things just need more available space.
2: Maybe classes or tags to the description, more specifically the display price so it stands out more. Even if you could just point me in the right direction I could edit it until I have it working the way I need it.
Thanks,
James K
YES!
This is what i didn’t found here or docs [wp_eStore_fancy:product_id:PRODUCT-ID:end]
Thank you for this avesome support and eStore!
Have a good day.
@Hotelsinus, The WP eStore offers different ways to list a product. The [wp_eStore:product_id:PRODUCT-ID:end] trigger text only shows the “Add to cart” button for a product and nothing else. This is to give the admin the complete control of how he/she wants to display the product listing (everybody has different taste).
If you want to show a product with Name, description, price and thumbnail image then use the [wp_eStore_fancy:product_id:PRODUCT-ID:end] trigger text.
Thank you, i chek tthis way, but i want to use like hte product list feature
[wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end]
and i try to put to the description , but didnt work hte player,
btw i dont uderstand why [wp_eStore:product_id:PRODUCT-ID:end] this code wont show the price and the infos! maybe i do something wrong, the all_prod code is wokr fine (but i cant putsepareted player)
thank you again 😀
Hi Hotelsinus, 1) Use a WordPress mp3 player plugin (eg. http://www.1pixelout.net/code/audio-player-wordpress-plugin ) and embed a player in the post/page to display a sample of the mp3 for sale.
2) Now configure the product like any other products through the ‘Add/Edit Products’ menu and display the “add to cart” button next to the embedded mp3 player.
Let me know if this helps.
hi, i buy this eStroe really great indeed.
i have one question, how can i implement an mp3 player / products
thank you
Just tried setting the product name as a link. Hehe, nearly worked!
Cool! and then the product title can use the same link data if configured?;-)
and the one in the shopping cart too?:-)
Easy for me to say I know, and I’m sure you’ve got more pressing items on your wish-list. Keep up the great work!
I am making it so the Product thumbnail can be used with Lightbox effect (when clicked the image pops up with lightbox effect)… I can make it configurable so instead of the lightbox effect it be a link to a page.
Thanks admin, categories sounds like it will provide a solution and have more global application rather than simply the ability to reverse the order or have numbered control as I was thinking.
I planned to use the product description for a link certainly, I just think clickable title and image might be something the shopper could expect to see, although it’s very much a nice to have while you are still adding such great new functionality as this at this stage.
Hi Paul, The items appear in a descending order. I am adding product categories in the next release which should give you more control over displaying a group of products.
You can put standard HTML links in the description field of the product. So at the end of your product description you can put some text like “more…” which is a link to your detailed product description page. Let me know if this helps.
Love this new version and especially the ability to list all products with one line of code! I do have a couple of queries/suggestions though:
Is there any control over the order that items appear in? I added my best product first but it appears last! 🙁
Is there some way the item name/image can be a link (e.g. to a product info page)?
paul
Thanks for reply regarding category upgrade.
That makes sense regarding bug free release.
Looking forward to the upgrade and any and all enhancements you make to this great product.
Regards
John
@Local Landing, your store looks good. I have added it in the list of example WP eStore sites.
@John, I intend to add the category option in the next release. I normally don’t set a release date until the work is complete cause otherwise people expect to get it on a certain date and that puts pressure on the schedule (more chance of releasing a version with bugs). I will send you an email.
Thanks for replies.
It would be great if you could introduce a third variation in the next release, thanks.
Its really for non digital product sales. I have a site running x-cart software and have sports products on it. A customer has the option of selecting the quantity, colour and size from three drop down boxes. Once each selection is made they then press the buy or add to cart button and their complete order selection is sent to the shopping cart in one go.
I will be looking to use your software for a micro type site or sites to complement my main site. I may just have one product on them but will need to have the three variance drop down boxes as described earlier.
It would be great to have the three variances to use with your product for a buy now button and also for the add to cart button procedure.
Which version of paypal business is it you use on this site. Is it paypal business standard or the paypal business pro version.
Any idea when the category updates mention in one of your replies above will be implemented. Not meaning to hassle you with this, i’m just keen to see this capability.
Thanks for your time to reply, much appreciated.
Regards
John
Looking forward to future upgrades, then. This plugin continues to be well worth it for us. Check out our new media store here:
http://www.thelocallanding.net/media/store/
We’d love to be added to your example store list too, if that’s possible.
Keep up the good work!
Hi John, You can do the Color and Size variation but the quantity needs to be changed from the shopping cart. As far as I understand Quantity is not a variation but if you need a third variation then I can introduce it in the next release.
I am using a PayPal business account so you should be able to do what I did in the demo.
Regarding the button display/design… all these can be controlled by CSS… I always leave it to the user because every person has different taste and need for when it comes to design/look and feel. Some of the points you made are valid and I will definitely look into it and make some changes.
Hi
Sorry for yet another question, they keep adding up the more I proceed through your fantastic site.
1/ If using a buy now button for a one product purchase is it possible for you to make a small padding adjustment in the default code so that the button does not bump up against the text. Either above or to the side.
2/ If using a buy now or add to cart button with drop down fields, is it possible to make a small padding adjustment in the default code so that the none ot the buttons bump up against the text and also so that the drop down fields do not also bump up against each other.
3/ The same goes for the checkout to paypal button.
I think by adjusting these padding issues and leaving a little more white space all round, cosmetically, all the placements be that little bit more professional looking. This is I think very important, and will give the potential customer even more incentive to complete his or her checkout.
This will make your product even more powerful and attractive to potential purchacers.
Hope you think its worthy of consideration.
Thanks for such greats products and the willingness to implement changes so far.
Regards
John
Hi
When you click the checkout with paypal button and proceed to the paypal secure page you see the following.
1/ The pay via credit card fields are on the left, (thats the location I want them to be when my customer checks through) and the sign in and pay via paypal is on the right, (thats where I want it to be when my customer checks through)
On some sites that transfer to paypal ( not using your product by the way ) the credit card and the paypal form locations are the opposite way from how yours works as described above.
How is that?
I will be using paypal uk business standard or possibly business pro, will I be able to place my credit card fields on the left, and paypal sign in on the right using either of these paypal accounts.
What type of paypal account have you used in your demo.
Regards
John
Hi
Can you add variances as described below.
Size – small, medium, large
Colour – green, blue, red
Quantity – 1, 2, 3
Could you also tell me when the above mentioned category upgrades will be added to your e-store product.
Regards
John
@Local Landing, I haven’t introduced the category option yet but it will go in the next release and then you will be able to do display all products from a particular category
Loving the new version. Question about displaying all products. Can it be broken down into categories? Can it be broken into different sizes of rows/columns? It looks like some of that can be accomplished through CSS, which I’ll be messing with, but if there are any additional variables we can include, that’d be intense!
That’s amazing, I didn’t do anything:-> Maybe it had something to do with a caching pluging that I’m using…sorry for bothering you with this and thanks!
Craig
@Craig, I just had a look at your site and it looks like it’s working fine. I am guessing you figured out the problem… please do let me know if you are still having trouble.
When I insert [wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end] into the page, nothing shows up. Here is a link to a page where this is occurring:
http://www.recycleyourfaith.com/download-store-test/
everything else about the plugin is still working great (other than not being able to remove items from shopping cart, but I can post separately about that).
Any help/ideas would be great! Thanks!
Craig
@Craig, Can you please explain what is not working? Maybe post a link to the page where you are using it so I can have a look at the page and see what is going wrong.
Love the update so far, but I can’t get the command [wp_eStore_all_products_stylish:end] to work…any thoughts why?
