This is definitely a plugin to have if you are doing affiliate marketing, and especially so if you are just getting started as it makes the whole thing a whole lot easier to manage. Thanks for sharing this, hope to see more of such tips in the future!

Hi,
I’m interested in this product. I’m currently using wootheme for my blog, can I install this plugin to wootheme?
#4 by Ivy on September 13, 2011 - 11:20 pm
@Robert, yes the Affiliate link cloaker plugin can detect keywords in alt field of an image and not convert them into affiliate links.
#5 by Robert on September 13, 2011 - 11:18 pm
Is the WP Affiliate link cloaker plugin smart enough to not convert the keywords in an image alt field into an affiliate link?

Thanks for the feedback.

Just wanted to tank you for creating this WordPress link Cloaker plugin which is very effective and easy to use.
#8 by admin on April 21, 2011 - 12:05 am
Yeah it should work fine with the theme. If not, we will be able to investigate it and tell you exactly why it is not working.
#9 by Patrick on April 20, 2011 - 9:33 pm
I am running a new theme on one of my blogs and although I have not tested Aff Cloak on that site and theme, I was wondering if you knew if it would work on OptimizePress http://nanacast.com/vp/97647/157822/

Looks good, I bet you’ve had a lot of success with it!
#11 by admin on April 6, 2011 - 11:38 pm
@Linda, Yeah it knows not to link alt text and links. Regarding the package product deal, please use the contact form to submit your query and Ivy should give you a reply.
#12 by Linda on April 6, 2011 - 3:39 pm
I’m curious about this also…
“Does you plugin recognize NOT to hyperlink keyword(s) already linked or words in an image alt description? Thanks.”
Also, I want the whole product package with everything but don’t have the budget for it right now… If I purchase this plugin will I get a $27 credit towards the whole package when I’m ready to buy?
Thanx

@Karlos, Yes the link cloaking will happen on sidebar widget text and comment section too (there is an option to enable keyword to link conversion feature for widget and comment text in the plugin).
I am not sure I understand your requirement about the custom field link insertion. If you can explain more on this then I will be able to give you a better answer.
#14 by karlos on March 10, 2011 - 8:23 pm
will this plugin cloak links from custom fields ? I have a template directory site with “one field” to insert the the site link where I only can insert the aff link? this link will be cloack?
and will cloak links in any part of my site? from the comment section and the sidebar?
#15 by admin on February 28, 2011 - 8:09 pm
Yeah it can cloak links on both normal and multi-site WordPress installs.
#16 by Peter on February 28, 2011 - 8:07 pm
Just making sure before I buy… this plugin will cloak links on WordPress multi-site installs right?
#17 by admin on February 21, 2011 - 11:08 pm
Hi Linda, yeah the link manager plugin should work fine on WordPress multi-site installs.
#18 by Linda on February 21, 2011 - 12:17 am
Will this work with WP3.x set up as a network (multi-site one user)?
Thanx
Linda =}
#19 by admin on February 10, 2011 - 2:55 am
@Dave, Yes the affiliate link manager plugin can recognize alt text and normal links and won’t make the keywords in an alt text an affiliate link.
#20 by Dave on February 9, 2011 - 6:21 pm

For anyone using this tool and using a theme with the “farbtastic.js” color selector, I want to let you know that Ruhul and I have been testing some theories.
The “farbtastic.js” may not allow your “Add Affiliate Link” feature to work properly or so it may appear.
Simply change themes to the default, load your Affiliate Links and keywords, then switch back to your theme. It appears to be working well.
I am having issues with “clickbank” affiliate links. They do NOT appear to be working at all and the keywords do not convert and go LIVE using the Affiliate Link Manager.
Ruhul is helping me solve this problem.
Also for anyone who is wondering. I asked earlier about making these links work “off-blog” and Ruhul came thru with a recent update to the plugin and I am told the new update will allow this to work.
This is a killer plugin for any affiliate promoter, I highly encourage it. I would offer to put my affiliate link here, but that would be silly.
THANKS Ruhul, You RULE!

Please let me know if you have anymore questions.
#23 by william on December 30, 2010 - 7:01 am
hey i would like to know if u could track how much times ur link would be clicked?
#24 by admin on December 26, 2010 - 8:00 pm
@Patrick, Just added this feature to the plugin. Now you can create redirection links in the plugin and share it on twitter or facebook.
#25 by admin on December 24, 2010 - 9:40 pm
Hi Patrick, You can’t do that just yet but this is something we are working on to add to this plugin.
#26 by Patrick on December 24, 2010 - 11:04 am
Ruhul, you already know I love your work and plugins.
I was wondering if I was to use this tool with the “http://empowerednutrition.com/recommends/productname” in my tweets and other sources like articles and the likes, would that then redirect to the affiliate product page I am promoting as if that link was sitting on my own blog?
This is a way more effective tool than any bit shortener or tinyurl tool.
If the answer is YES, then I am getting this plugin today and setting it up when the kids go to bed as a gift to me.
Thanks as always Ruhul.

Hi Jamie, no this plugin do not track the referrer.
#29 by Jamie Pelaez on December 22, 2010 - 1:02 pm
I have a similar plugin that is really buggy. Looks like yours has a few more features that I would enjoy having.
I know yours tracks clicks, but does it also track referrer info? The plugin I have now does, the only thing that does not work consistently is the cloaking option which is why I am shopping for a new alternative.
I often will put my links elsewhere besides my blog when marketing instead of using bit.ly, which is why seeing where my traffic is coming from is very important.
I look forward to hearing more and will be purchasing a few of your other plugins today.
Shalom & Blessings,
Jamie Pelaez

If you mean that you want to change the a link in the post or page then the answer is no as the link is will be placed dynamically when the page renders. One keyword can be used for one target URL.
#35 by Morten Croatia on August 30, 2010 - 6:01 pm
I really love the part that the links appear to be on your own page.
one question can you manually change the target of the links, if e.g. you want to link on word travel, but not always to the same target or is there a way to configure plugin so that it would dynamically do this, could i specify more the one target for same keyword?

Hi,
Again a wonderful plugin and I am just getting started with it but I see a lot of potential. I just signed up for YOUR affiliate program and was wondering where the code was located within the plugin files so that I can replace the text link on my website “Powered by WP Affiliate Platform” (located at the bottom right of each page) with MY Affiliate Code … the code that I was given when signing up for your (www.tipsandtricks-hq.com) program??
Please help and thanks

Hi David, In the Manage Links option this should you all the links you have configured and how many times they have been clicked.
#39 by David Martin on August 12, 2010 - 5:04 pm
I notice on the video that the link manager has the option to track clicks. How does this happen? Is there a control panel of some kind that displays how many times a particluar link has been clicked?
