@Frank, I am working on adding JQuery/AJAX functionality into the shopping cart. It’s proving to be a little challenging as I would like to keep everything backwards compatible but I will get there. You can remove the shopping cart from the post and only put it on the sidebar if you like.
Another quick question for you…this is in regards to the shopping cart that sits in the sidebar. Is there any way to ajax that little guy? For example, when someone clicks a buy now button, it will autorefresh using javascript and ajax to update the shopping cart in the sidebar without refreshing the page? If the person has turned off javascript, then it would default by refreshing the page manually for the sidebar widget. Also, love to remove the shopping cart from within the post and only show it in the sidebar.

@Shawn, Open the “eStore_includes3.php” file and search for the following function:
eStore_process_payment_data()
once you find it look at the very end of that function and you will see where it’s adding the other info.
Idea: on the Thank You page after checkout, where the customer sees their summary and can download their product, how can i customize the text so I can add an upsell/downsell or one-time-offer item?? I want to add onto the text that in generated by your plugin. This would be great because that info would expire when the customer leaves, and would not be accessible unless someone made a purchase.
You can attach a music player next to the “Add to Cart” button so your customers can listen before they add it to the cart. I have an example of this on the demo page at the following URL:

@Deej, No you don’t need any specif PayPal account to use the WP eStore plugin but I think PayPal requires you to have a premium or business account if you want your customers be able to pay you using their credit card. Upgrading to PayPal Premium or Business account is free.

i am getting eStore to build a site selling physical products and digital download. How should I set the shipping charges so that it will only applies to physical products?
If set it in paypal shipping or base, digital download will be charged accordingly.
If set in each item, buy with many items will be ended up high shipping cost. Please help…

Hi Nicholas, The only think I can think of is that the download now button image is a PNG image and IE6 and IE7 doesn’t render PNG files very good. Please note that you don’t have to use the image that comes with the plugin. You can use your own custom image by specifying it in the “Button Image URL” field of that product. Also if you post a URL of where this is being used then I can try viewing it in IE to see what the problem is.

Sorry if its been covered before but I am using the Squeeze page within a sidebar (with php code, and ajax option). Works fine but in Internet Explorer the ‘Download Now’ button does not render properly. Any ideas on why?

At the moment I am integrating 2Checkout payment gateway.. after this I have plans for Authorize.net integration.

Thank you very much. One way I thought of…
All the money goes to my account. Transaction is listed somewhere in the plugin’s pages with a button “send % of this transaction amount to…” If it tracked the product ID I could also setup an e-mail as default for that product (along with the percentage). So I would have just one click to do to approve sending the money. Just a thought… Would be great.
Maybe this would also be helpful for the WP affiliate (didn’t have a look at it yet sorry).

I’m currently planning to build a platform which allows people to sell the products of their creativity. I would like to charge a certain percentage of the sale amount as commission and have the rest of the money go to the artist’s PayPal account. I know that in eStore it’s possible to define an e-mail where the money is going to for each product. However I don’t know whether it’s possible to have 10% going to my PayPal account and 90% to the artist’s account. Is that possible? If not could you implement the feature in an upcoming version of the plugin?

There is no restriction to the number of products you can have. I personally haven’t tested it with that many products but I do know that a few of my clients who have a little over 1000 eBooks are using this plugin to sell it.

Hi Steve, The location of the IPN script is passed automatically by the plugin (You do not have to do anything in your PayPal account).
Your plug seem to be what I’ve been looking for but I do have one question about how the IPN works. Is the location of the IPN script passed on to PayPal via the pay link or I’m I required to set this up in PayPal?
I know that some plugin’s that I looked at require you to set the return link in your PayPal account.
Which just does not work well when you have several sites that are using different methods and different IPN scripts.

Hi Nazmul, The upgrade is free.. I always send an email to all the customers to the email address that they used to purchase the product when an updated version is available. Looks like you haven’t been getting them and the email address you used here to leave the comment is not in my customers database. Hi Olivier, You are right. You will need something that can delete the user account after 48 hours so the customer can’t use it anymore after that time.
Hello. I saw your answer with regards to masking the URL for the video on demand guy, and the other answer about the fact there’s no login procedure.
I’m basically trying to let people watch my film online, after they have paid a fee for it. So the film is on a WP page, but I want to protect the access to that WP page with a login/username, and I want it to accessible only for 48 hours from the time defined by the user when he buys the access to the film.
I’m guessing I won’t be able to do this with your plugin, is that right?

You can install the plugin in a WP MU installation but I am not sure if you can use it the way you described. I will have to test it before I can give you an answer.

Hi Parrfunkel, Yes, there is an option to set up coupons (I introduced it in version 2.3). I don’t remember who originally suggested it but I had a few requests to implement the free product option so if you are one of them then thanks to you. The free product option does provide an encrypted link.
