@la, not sure exactly what you mean by “can I use Amazon and other affiliate links in the products for sale sections” but you can create a product that just redirects the customer to amazon when the “Add to Cart” button is clicked. This link can be an affiliate link.
Hi, The files can be stored anywhere that is accessible by the plugin. If you choose to host the files off your server please make sure where the files are hosted is not password protected as the eStore will be unable to access them. Remember only the plugin will know the true location of the files.

Hi Wood, You can not set different prices for members at this time.
The best way to do this is to create a products page for each membership level that you want to offer different prices too, then protect the pages so only that membership level can see the products.

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere… there is so much documentation (which is sweet, unless you’re looking for a quick answer) that it is taking me a while to find the answer, so I thought I’d ask in a comment:
Quite simply, with the integration of eStore and eMember, can I set different prices for a digital download based on whether a user is a member or not? If so, can it be done automatically based on whether the member is logged in? ie. someone that is a non-member (and obviously not logged in) gets served a ‘buy now’ with a price of, say, $10. But if a member is logged in, then they see the same buy now button with a discounted price of, say, half that?
If so… I’ll be purchasing right away! Thanks for your input.

When I used product variations with price, the cart shows 0 when clicked instead of the price for that variation.
Hi Valery, The 2 checkout has only the Add to Cart option. You will not be able to use the Buy now or subscription options (These are PayPal only functions).

Hi I’d like to buy your plug in to sell digital goods. The digital goods sell are audio files for download, which leads me to my question.
Is there any way I can include a compact preview audio player (flash) either in the description area or image area so potential buyers can preview the audio files. This is usually accomplished by inserting code.
Also share buttons for facebook, digg etc. Hopefully this question hasn’t be askd/answered before as I tried to read as many posts as I could thanks in advance.

We are desperately wanting to use your eMember + eStore software on our site. We are a publishing company, and a lot of stuff is going digital nowadays. One of our domains will be selling digital download material in PDF format, but we have a request:
We are excited about your eMember+eStore, but we are in need a a “branding” feature that ‘stamps’ some of the eMember (customer) information directly into the PDF before they download. That way they would be less likely to share the file with the rest of the world. Also, what about a password? How possible is this, and does it become more difficult if the PDF has pictures and the like? All we would need is to have it stamped in the header/footer of each page. We are ready to go ahead with the eMember+eStore, but we really want to know about the possibility of the ‘branding’ feature.

Got your site from a happy customer on the Thesis forum. I sell my eBook through Clickbank because of the affiliate program. The eBook now shows up in Google search as an immediate PDF download by searching my name and topic. I removed the page and voila – the PDF is still there – FREE. I want to protect that page/link. Does WP eStore “hide” the link and/or can I send the customer an email with the link with so many downloads? Sorry buy I’m now getting really confused:) Thanks

I am however adding a per product tax option in eStore soon which will allow you to specify a tax percentage for each of your products (e.g. 12% on your CD and 5% on your book). But it won’t allow you to break the 12% tax into 7%GST and 5% PST… it will just be the total tax on that product 🙁

I am using Shopp as my ecommerce cart right now and your affiliate software. I am a Canadian vendor. In Canada we have to charge GST (tax) on most items. In each province the provincial tax levels are different so when a customer from BC buys a CD from me I have to charge 5% GST and 7% PST on the item but if they are also buying a book in the order, I can only legally charge 5% GST on the book because books are exempt from PST. To make things more challenging, if I sell to a customer in Alberta I have to charge them only GST on the CD because they do not have a provincial sales tax. Does this WP estore plugin accommodate these scenarios? Shopp does not handle this well. They calculate tax depending on the purchaser’s province but on everything (the total) in the cart and there is no discrimination for items like books where PST should not be charged.

I just purchased the eStore, eMember and Affiliate package, what a great set of tools you’ve created. I work with a lot of smaller businesses who not only sell online but also wholesale too and therefore they need a secure area where wholesalers can log in and purchase products at wholesale prices, not retail. I know if you included this sort of functionality then it would be brilliant. I’ve figured out a way it can be done for the moment and that is to use the eMember plugin and create a protected page for the items for wholesale purchase, this way only the wholesalers can access the products and not the general public. I’ve got some real cool ideas for you if you’re interested and I’m happy to give them to you to use with your products, as I worked in retail for 15 years and built my own e-commerce systems in ASP and SQL Server, but now I focus on marketing not coding. You’ve got a great range of products, some of the best I’ve seen at this price point (if not the best). keep up the good work and the feedback you’ve got is very heartening to say the least, a good community here.
I just spent two day haggling with wp-ecommerce from getshopped because I thought the interface would be easier. But I can’t get it to handle subscriptions or work with WordPress 2.9. Plus, their documentation is way behind, and the lack of answers on the forums left me digging around for answers unsuccessfully.
Once I dove into eStore, I found it pretty intuitive. And being able to put products into posts eliminates the need to create some separate feed. Great plugin!

Estore has stopped working.
I haven’t changed anything but we had customers buy our product and it has worked all the way to taking their money through paypal, but not sent either emails to the customer or me of the purchase nor has it updated any sales in the shopping cart and no customer details.

I plan to get the 3 bundle (store, affiliate, and member) software. If my members are signing up for access to the site either on a monthly basis or a one time charge for a year, is Paypal the only payment option? I see estore has other payment gateways, but I can’t tell if the user has the option of who to use for the subscription payments.

@Beatrice, you will most likely use a contact form that your customers can use to submit information after they have made a payment. Any good contact form plugin (e.g. contact form 7, cFormII) will have an option to upload a file when they submit the form.
I am artist and would like to be taking orders from my blog, to do that I would have to have an upload button so people can upload the picture they want me to paint.. is there any plugin that will do that
