Hi Brett, PayPal will not allow a “0” priced item to be processed through the checkout. So there are 2 options for this.
1. Would be to use the squeeze page – if you want to collect customer data (name and email address).
2. You can use a “Download Button” – No data will be collected they can just download the product.
So to answer your questions yes you would need the squeeze page form and the “Add to Cart/Buy Now” options on the same page
or you would need the “Download Now” and “Add to Cart/Buy Now” options both on the page.
That looks great, but I would also like the ability for the customer to choose a price of $0 and be able to directly download the file, just like your squeeze page form. Is there a good way to incorporate both these features (choose price and squeeze page) or would it require having both forms on the page?

@Deyson, I am not sure I understand the relationship between the eStore plugin and the tab slide out script you want to use.
Hi Matthew, When selling Pay Per View Content the best way to do this is with a membership plugin. This way you have far more control over who can view the content. The member would need to be logged in to see the content so someone can not access the content by directly entering the address in their browser. Also eMember has option to restrict login via IP address (If the number of login attempts from different IP addresses exceed this limit then the member’s account will be locked.) You can set the number of IP’s that can login to one account (3 is a good number).

I’m building a site to sell streaming video. Quick question regarding eStore. When the buyer receives an encrypted link giving him acces for a month, could he share that encrypted link with a friend to view for free? I’m thinking that eMember is the way to go if this is possible.

Is it possible to display just a BUY NOW button without price, description or picture for an item. I want to create a typical sales page for an item with a large BUY NOW button at the bottom of the page using the WP-estore.
I really like the features that your plugin offers. I also like the support that I see here on the site. I am still trying to decide between yours and a couple of others. I see that you do not integrate with iDevAffiliate and that is a software that I really want to use because it has features that are not available anywhere else. Hi, We have added an option where customers can specify their own price. Also you can use variations for different amounts. So yes the eStore can be used for donations. If you do not have these options you will need an update.

The paypal plugin has nothing to do with the simple shopping cart or eStore. The wordpress plugins that you can find on this site uses Website payments standard which is PayPal’s one of the main services.

Will “Website Payment Standard†Work? Yes The business one.
There are some limitations to a personal account and can cause issues if you want to do things like accept subscription payments (you will have to have a business account).

I have developed a license management plugin myself but I haven’t scheduled a release date for it.
I have purchased this fantastic product and at the moment its version 2.4 – is there an update available for WordPress 3.01 installations? After installing the plugin I´m receiving a “funny” message that the newly installed plugin just caused XXXX signs and if wordpress at all stops working, I need to delete or deactivate the eStore plugin. (?!?) 🙂
